Earlsdon Primary School

Earlsdon Primary School Curriculum

Vision

Our vision is to provide an education of the highest quality, in a positive and nurturing environment, that is innovative and creative and enables every child to fulfil their potential.

Our curriculum underpins all our school values of respect, resilience, responsibility, equality and challenge. It develops independent lifelong learners who embrace challenge and demonstrate resilience. Our curriculum is enriched by purposeful collaborations to nurture a sense of belonging and experience the richness of the local and wider community.

Our curriculum is

· broad, balanced and rich and has been designed to reflect the needs of our pupils so they can progress to become successful lifelong local and global citizens.

· structured to acknowledge our community including the cultural heritage and a growing ethnic diversity.

· designed to ensure the progression and the sequential development of learning across all of the National Curriculum subjects

· individualized and scaffolded where necessary to ensure all pupils are learning the skills they require.

Earlsdon Primary School Values

Respect
  • A culture is strong when people work with each other, not for themselves. Simon Sinek
Equality
  • In diversity there is beauty and there is strength. Maya Angelou
Challenge
  • Come to the edge. We might fall. Come to the edge. It's too high! Come to the edge. And they came, and he pushed, and they flew. Christopher Iogne
Resilience
  • Resilience comes from the Latin word 'resalire', which means springing back.
Responsibility
  • You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make. Jane Goodall
