On Thursday 23rd Reception children will be taking part in Elmer day, so they are invited to wear multicoloured clothes to school to celebrate 35 years of Elmer. We welcome the rest of the children to wear comfy clothes for Book Trust and can bring their favourite book to school, to share with their peers. £1.00 donations will be going to our charity of choice.

Earlsdon Primary School

We are very excited to have been awarded a small grant to take part in a “Living Walls” research project, with the Royal Society of Education and a STEM partner from University of Loughborough. The project will involve researching the impact on children’s well-being when learning in a greener and more natural environment, both in the classroom and outdoors.

We now need lots of plants, so if you have green fingers or have family or friends who would be willing to donate a plant or seeds, we would be very grateful!  Below is a list of plants that have been tested by NASA to 'grow fresh air' :

Areca Palm, Dragon Tree, Anthurium, Snake Plant, Aloe Vera, Heart-leaf philodendron, Spider Plant, Succulents.

We are also hoping to grow strawberries, tomatoes, potatoes and add some colour with the use of bedding plants. Your support in growing a greener environment at school would be very welcome.
