On Thursday 23rd Reception children will be taking part in Elmer day, so they are invited to wear multicoloured clothes to school to celebrate 35 years of Elmer. We welcome the rest of the children to wear comfy clothes for Book Trust and can bring their favourite book to school, to share with their peers. £1.00 donations will be going to our charity of choice.

  • As next Thursday is World Book Day, our favourite books will be the focus of our online assemblies next week.
  • Some World Book Day activities will also be added the additional challenges/ activities section of the daily remote learning plans.
  • In addition, Mrs Leigh has created a word hunt for the children to enjoy at Spencer Park. The children are invited to visit the park during the week, follow the clues and collect the words along the way. We would love to see the children enjoying the word hunt and would like to encourage you to send some photos of the children to parent@earlsdon.coventry.sch.uk. We hope you have fun in the park! To get you started here is the first clue:

  • Clue 1: To find your next clue you need to look all around, you'll find it where sleeping insects are found.
  • One of our parents will be hosting an Earlsdon Primary World Book Day fair virtually on Facebook where she will be selling Usborne books. The event will run from the 5th - 7th March 2021 but is ready to join now via this link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/132523452012319/Over the next week additional information will be added including special offers, new releases and a chance to win some free books. Please look out for a separate email with more information.
