Earlsdon Primary School

Year 3 enjoyed an exciting afternoon of Roman workshops led by stu-dents from the University of Warwick. The children learned all about life in Roman times, with a special focus on Roman food. They even had the chance to taste some traditional recipes, including Roman melon salad and Roman pancakes! Another session focused on archaeology, where the children eagerly got stuck in, digging through sandboxes to uncover scans of real Roman artefacts discovered at Lunt Roman Fort. They explored Roman coins and even designed their own. The hands-on activities were a great success, and the children were enthusiastic and fully engaged throughout the afternoon.
