  • Refugee Week Community Cape

    Fri 04 Jul 2025

Our Refugee Week Community Cape is on display in the school reception area. The children have been busy using their creativity to design patches, which were joined together to create our school community cape- make sure to stop by and have a look!

  • Open Evening and enterprise event

    Fri 04 Jul 2025

We will be holding our end of year open evening alongside an enterprise event on the playground on Wednesday 16th July: 3.30pm– 4.15pm. Class teachers and support staff will be available so that you can chat to your child’s current teacher and meet their new teacher for next year. Each class is working towards an enterprise challenge over the next few weeks to develop their financial awareness, teamwork and problem-solving skills, this event is an opportunity to celebrate their work. We will follow the normal end of day routines to ensure that all children are collected safely and then re-open the school gate around 3.30pm. We hope you can join us at this end of year whole school event.

  • Sports Day 15th July

    Fri 04 Jul 2025

A reminder that Sports Day for Year 1-Year 6 children is being held on Tuesday 15th July (1pm-3pm) at King Henry V111 School (Spencer Road entrance).

    • On this day we will be serving a buffet lunch for children who have a school dinner.

    • The event will finish at 3pm allowing time for parents to collect siblings in Reception. Reception staff are aware that some parents may be a few minutes late to collect.

    • Children in Year 1– Year 6 need to come to school wearing their school P.E kit: plain navy/ black shorts and a plain white t-shirt or white polo shirt as well as their trainers!

    • Please avoid sending the children to school with school bags and rucksacks on this day, so they have less to carry to King Henry’s.

    • Unless your child has a pre-booked place at after school club or a sports club, they must be collected from King Henry’s at 3pm.

We are looking forward to an active and fun afternoon and hope you can join us!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated food items for Carriers of Hope – World Foods Food Hub. Your kindness was deeply appreciated by the organisation. We’d also like to thank all the children who bought orange hearts and accessories, as well as those who volunteered their time to sell them during lunchtimes and playtimes. Thanks to their enthu?siasm and support, we raised a fantastic £198, which will be shared equally between Migrant Help, Stories of Hope and Home, and Schools of Sanctuary. A special mention goes to Jake and Grayson in Year 5, who raised an additional £82 by selling homemade lem?onade at the weekend—what an incredible effort!
