We are thrilled to inform you that we have decided to use this programme so that all Key Stage 2 children can practise their times tables at home and in school. Please join us to find out more about how you can support your child to learn their times tables and make full use of this subscription. You will be sent an invite to a Teams meeting on 17th November at 4.30pm |
Thank you for your support in helping the children to fundraise
for Children in Need this year. We are delighted that lots of
children have chosen to enter the Pudsey Bear design competition. There are lovely prizes to be won! We will also be having a Pudsey Bear non uniform day on Thursday 18th November (not Friday this year as we have four year groups going to the cinema on 19th and we prefer them to be wearing their school uniform when they are representing our school). Thank you in advance for your support and generosity
The PTA are holding their AGM on 24th November at 2pm. If you would like to join them, please message the PTA or email them at earlsdonpta@outlook.com and further details will be sent to you. Thank you |
To start off national Anti-Bullying week, we will be inviting the children to wear odd socks to school on Monday 15th November (this could mean that some children choose to wear odd socks over their tights!) The theme of the Anti-Bullying Alliance week this year is ‘one kind word’. |
Over the last month the Junior Leadership Team has started recruiting its new members and some of the Year 6 children have already started their new roles. Over recent weeks the ECO squad have been completing their baseline assessment for our school and have now formulated their action plan. During the course of the year we will be aiming to meet our actions; improve our schools bio-diversity, waste and litter within the school. The children would also like to organise a community litter pick in the New Year! In the short term, if anyone has any bug houses, bat boxes, bird houses or bird feeders that they no longer use and would like to donate, they would be well received by our ECO team. |
Thank you and well done to the families who represented Earlsdon at Historic Trust Coventry's Lullaby bike ride on Sunday evening. Over 200 people took part in this spectacular dusk bike ride through Coventry. |
On Friday 5th November, 10 children from Year 6 were very lucky to take part in a video call presented live at COP26. The children spoke passionately about our Living Walls project and confidently answered questions about the potential impact on climate change of adding plants to our school environment . You can find out more about the project by following this link https://royalsociety.org/blog/2021/11/tomorrows-climate-scientists/ |
We are delighted to inform you that our Harvest collection raised £578.76 and through their additional fundraising the Year 5 children raised £86.23. Thank you for your kindness and generosity. As a school we would like to support the Carriers of Hope project 'Christmas Party in a Bag' for refugees in Coventry. It's a bag full of food we take for granted at Christmas time for example chocolates, cakes, mince pies, trifle kits, biscuits, sweets and selection boxes. If you would like to make a small donation to this appeal, please put your festive party food donations into the labelled bag in the school reception area from Monday 15th November to Friday 26th November. All donations will then be delivered to the Carriers of Hope in time for Christmas parties! Thank you in advance for your support |
We are thrilled that the book fair will be in school from Wednesday 10th November until 22nd November Please look out for more information in a separate letter. |
