Our two Year 6 reading teams participated in the National Reading Champions Quiz on Friday. It's a very challenging competition and it tests the book knowledge of pupils from every genre. Both teams did an amazing job, with one of our teams being placed the highest scoring primary school in the West Midlands. Well done children!
This week the group stages of the Kabaddi World Cup took place at the CBS Arena, Coventry. This is the first time that this international tournament has taken place outside Asia. Our school Kabaddi team took part in a schools' festival at the CBS on Tuesday. Another group of children were lucky enough to watch the England women's team compete on Wednesday

Well done to the Year 4 children who competed in an archery competition last week. It was a fun event based around a story about a castle and involved completing challenges with an archery theme. The children were brilliant ambassadors for our school and have been invited to compete in a regional competition in a few weeks.
We will be inviting the children to support Comic Relief by wearing something red to school on Friday 21st March. They could simply wear red socks, a red t-shirt or come to school wearing a complete red outfit– whatever they have access to and feel comfortable with. £1 donations would be gratefully received to support this national charity event.
All our robotics teams have had a successful season, with one team qualifying for Nationals which took place in Telford on Sunday and Monday. The team performed well and won the prestigious Judges' Award. Well done children!

We were delighted that our table tennis team qualified for the national semi-finals that took place in Dudley on Saturday. The whole team played brilliantly and won a lot of matches. They were eventually beaten by the London Table Tennis Academy - an elite table tennis centre for the top players in England. Our team showed resilience, respect and friendship. We are very proud of what they have achieved.
