The PTA will be running a Mother’s Day pop up shop in school on Wednesday 6th March. All of the children will have the opportunity to visit the shop and buy a gift for their special adult. Gifts will need to be paid for in advance so please look out for more information over the next week.
We appreciate that our school site becomes very busy at the start and the end of the day as we have around 420 children settling into school in the morning and being safely handed to their parents at 3.15pm. To help manage so many people on the site we have a well established one way system around the school building. Thank you to the vast majority of parents who follow the one way system by entering through the main school gate, walking across the playground and exiting the site through the car park gate. Unfortunately we are starting to see more parents entering and exiting through the main school gate and as such would to like to politely remind everyone to support the school routines by following the one way system around the building at the beginning and end of the school day. Thank you for your ongoing support.
We are very proud that a pupil who attended Earlsdon Primary School won the Flame of Friendship torch design competition. The torch relay was launched on Thursday at Coventry Cathedral and it will spend four months travel?ling between 62 Coventry schools. We look for?ward to welcoming it at Earlsdon when pupils from All Souls will bring it to us on 15th March.
This term we are starting our class visits to our community allotment on Beechwood Avenue. Please look out for news of when your child's class is going. We would be grateful for volunteers to support with this. The class visits will take place on Friday afternoons. 5G visited the allotment this week and 5W will be going on Friday 1st March.
We are delighted that one of our robotics teams has qualified for Nationals. This is a great achievement as only the top twenty teams in the country qualify for this annual event. Good luck to the team as they prepare for the two day tournament in March!
We would like to remind parents that for safeguarding reasons, children should not be wearing smartwatches to school. In addition, we would like to ask that chil?dren do not wear watches to school that give them the option of playing games on them. These watches can be distracting during learning times! Thank you for your ongoing support
Pupils who are going to France in June as part of our Paris 2024 project had the opportunity to work with pupils from our partner schools. They took part in sports challenges and learnt how to order food in French. We have started to prepare for the Flame of Friend?ship which is a Coventry torch relay focused on the Paris 2024 Games. We will receive the torch on 15th March and we will run with it to Stivichall Primary School on 18th March. We have worked with the Royal Opera House dance team to prepare a dance to welcome the torch.

Thank you to all the families who joined us on Saturday for the launch of our school allotment. We are looking forward to planting fruit and vegetables in the coming months. There will be many more opportunities for families to get involved. Classes will be learning at the allotment on Friday afternoons and we will be asking for volunteers to support them. Please let Mrs Bollands know if you are able to help out.
