‘YOUR SEND CHILD AND ATTACHMENT THEORY’ – 24/06/26

In partnership with SEND Information, Advice and Support Service (SENDIASS), Coventry Educational Psychology Service (EPS) will be running a FREE ONLINE session for parents/carers on ‘Your SEND Child and Attachment Theory’.

Session Details:

  • Wednesday 24th June 2026, 10am – 12noon

  • Delivered ONLINE via Microsoft Teams (please note this session will not be recorded)

What is the session about?

Attachment theory explains why it is important for children to build strong, trusting relationships with the adults who care for them. These early relationships shape the way a child understands the world, manages their emotions, and feels safe.

This parent training session will include an introduction to attachment theory, providing insight into different patterns of attachment and how this affects children’s behaviour.

The session will conclude with strategies to support children with different attachment styles.

There will be opportunities to reflect and ask questions at the end of the session.
