This is where you will find all of the information that will keep you up to date with our latest events!
Save the date! We have a few allotment events coming up.
Monday 29 September and Monday 6 October.
We will be holding restaurant takeover events at The Street restaurant. Pupils will work with professional chefs to create delicious meals. They will also be trained as Front of House staff and they will be doing the publicity and marketing. All money raised from these two evenings will be used to purchase equipment for our new community kitchen.
Friday 10th October Pumpkin Soup Night and the official opening of our new learning shelter. All welcome! More details coming soon
Following new legislation we are required to dispose of all food waste separately to other rubbish. As a school we have to pay additional charges for the collection of food waste so we are trying to minimise this. We will be asking all pupils who have a packed lunch to take all food waste and rubbish home with them in their lunch box. This will help you to see what they have eaten at lunchtime.
Please remember that we are a nut free school and we ask that children do not have nut products including Nutella and nutty cereal bars for their morning snack or packed lunch. We have a number of children in school with severe nut allergies and need to request your support in helping to ensure everyone remains safe and healthy. Thank you.
To ensure that all children are safely collected at the end of the day, we are changing our procedures for children who are collected after the gate has closed. If you are unexpectedly held up at the end of the day and are going to be late collecting your child, we request that you call the office to let us know. All children who are not collected from the playground at 3.15pm will be taken to our Learning Mentors who will be waiting at the gate next to our side door. From here they will be taken to our After School Club. You will need to collect your child from After School Club and the relevant charge will be made. Thank you for your support collecting your child promptly
We are delighted to announce that the film we entered in an international UNESCO Competition about our school allotment and our commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals has been awarded first place. There will be an award ceremony in London later this month. Take a look at our film on the school Youtube channel SEEDS OF HOPE EARLSDON PRIMARY
We have had a super start to the new school year and are thrilled with the way the children have settled into their new classrooms and are enjoying getting to know their new teachers and year group staff. Thank you for your support in preparing the children for their return to school– they all look very smart in their uniforms! We are looking forward to the year ahead and all of the learning, activities and school events we will enjoy.
Thanks to a grant from a local, charity, the PTA and a donor we were able to build a community kitchen at school over the summer. This will enable us to deliver food technology lessons; cooking clubs and community workshop sessions. We are planning opportunities for parents to view this new classroom over the coming weeks.
Thank you for supporting our routines at the beginning and end of the school day: the school gate will open at 8.40am and close at 8.55am promptly. The children will be lined up on the playground at 3.15pm for collection. We appreciate that the school site becomes very busy at the beginning and end of the day and would like to thank parents for continuing to use the well established one way system around the school building, across the playground to exit via the car park gate. Thank you for your ongoing support.
We would like to say a huge thank you to all parents and members of our community who helped us to raise funds for the learning shelter at out allotment. Over the holidays the fabulous shelter was installed.
We are delighted to inform you that we have been awarded the highest level International School Award by the British Council for our commitment to international education. Our work linked to Turing visits to France and Spain were very highly commended. Assessors were also impressed with the range of initiatives across the school including International Christmas concerts, Japanese clubs, Mandarin clubs and links with other schools
