  • Harriet Goodwin

    Another exciting day at Earlsdon, we welcomed the author Harriet Goodwin to school - all the children had opportunity to listen to her story telling, finds out about her life and meet her. Some classes were lucky enough to have a workshop with her. A big thank you to the PTA for funding our authors this week!

    What an exciting first day back. A big thank you to the author Cat Weatherill who visited KS1 this Monday and did some amazing story planning and writing workshops with Year 2 and some incredible story sessions with Year 1 and Reception. The children had a wonderful time and were captivated by her story telling! 
  • First week back - World Book Day

    On March 2nd we will be launching a whole fun filled week of reading, writing and vocabulary. We will be having authors visit our children, we will be asking for book donations for a preloved book sale on Friday 6th March, and we will also be hoping to dress up as words on Thursday 5th March! Please see parent mail as the World Book Week letter was sent with this weeks Newsletter. 
  • Science Fair

    Mrs Ashmore has introduced the KS1 and KS2 children to the Science Fair competition this week. The children can investigate any scientific question they wish. They can collaborate with a friend or complete their competition entry independently. Children will present their findings and those shortlisted might even get to go to Warwick University to showcase their work. Further details will be sent out via parent mail. 
  • Year 1 toys

    This term the children in Year 1 have been learning about toys. They have been finding out the past, learning about timelines and have been understanding how toys have changed over the decades. The children finished their theme with a super Toy Museum. A big thank you to the family members that sent in toys and items to show and tell. 
  • Beechwood Tennis

    Today Alex and Archie are at school from Beechwood tennis. The Reception and Year 1 children have had taster sessions today. They practised some basic tennis skills and catching. A big thank you to Alex and Archie for teaching our children. 
  • Year 1 music

    Today the Year 1 children were very excited, they had a teacher come from the Morning of Music to teach them their songs ahead of their performance later in the year. You could could hear the singing all the way through the school. 

  • Parents Evening

    A little reminder that this week we have our Parents Evening consultations. If you have not yet booked an appointment, please visit the school office as their are still spaces available for Thursday 20th February. We look forward to seeing you.
