  • Summer Music Concert

    Mon 08 Jul 2024

A very big thank you to our choir and some of our very talented musicians for a wonderful performance on Monday at St Barabara's Church. We were treated to a lovely programme of old favourites, modern pieces and even some compositions by students. Well done to everyone who made this such a great evening.

  • Sports Day 12th July

    Mon 08 Jul 2024

Sports Day will take place on Friday 12th July from 1pm -3pm at King Henry VIII’s School, Spencer Avenue entrance. It is for pupils in Years 1 – 6.

Children should wear their school PE kit.

Please avoid bringing rucksacks to school on this day.

Children will have an early lunch on Sports Day and will be walked up to King Henry’s by school staff. We will not need any additional support with this. We ask that parents arrive at King Henry’s School at 1pm through the car park entrance on Spencer Avenue.

Please do not arrive early as we need time to organise the pupils into their house groups. We have planned a Sports Day that combines both participation and competitive sport. All children from Years 1-5 will take part in a carousel of activities that will be led by our Year 6 pupils.

Children in each year group will be called from the multisport activities to take part in one running race. After they have run in their race, they will rejoin the carousel of activities.

At approximately 2.30pm, the activities will finish and all children will watch the Year 6 races.

After this, all children will be taken to the other side of the field to line up with their class teacher for home time.

To ensure that we can keep all children safe we ask that:

    • Parents don’t take their child to the toilet – staff will do this.

    • Parents to remain at the race track after the Year 6 final races until we invite you to collect your child.

Children must not be taken before they have lined up with their class teacher.

UNLESS YOUR CHILD HAS A PRE-BOOKED PLACE AT AFTER SCHOOL CLUB OR A SPORTS CLUB, THEY MUST BE COLLECTED FROM KING HENRY’S SCHOOL AT 3PM. CHILDREN WHO ARE NOT COLLECTED WILL BE ALLOCATED TO AFTER SCHOOL CLUB AND WILL INCUR A CHARGE OF £10. Thank you for your support.
