  • Allotment News

    Mon 08 Dec 2025

Thank you very much to everyone who supported the allotment light trail this week. We really appreciate the support of a huge team of staff and parent volunteers.

Our allotment plays a key role in our school and in our science learning. We urgently need volunteers to help with various jobs over the winter months including digging beds, pruning and maintenance. If you are free, please come along on Saturday 3rd January 10am—12pm.

No experience needed. If you are unable to help on this date, please let us know and we will be in touch about the next date.

  • Visit from Bishop Sophie

    Tue 02 Dec 2025

We were delighted to welcome Coventry’s Bishop Sophie Jelley to school this week. Bishop Sophie is the tenth Bishop of Coventry since the modern Diocese of Coventry was established in 1918. She has made history as the first woman to be Bishop of Coventry.
Bishop Sophie enjoyed meeting the children and learning about our work. She was particularly inter-ested in our peace education programme and our Schools of Sanctuary work.
We were able to share with her the importance of developing our children as responsible members of the community.

  • Table Tennis

    Tue 02 Dec 2025

Congratulations to our table tennis teams who competed in the Warwickshire Schools Team Table Tennis Championships on Thursday at Stratford. For many children it was their first tournament and we were very proud of how well they played and how they demonstrated our school value of respect at all times.
A big well done to our boys A team who came first and qualified for the Area Finals in February.

We would like to thank Sport England and the National Lottery for funding our Saturday morning club sessions.

  • Christmas Celebrations

    Tue 02 Dec 2025

Mr Kumar and our catering team will be serving Christmas dinner on Wednesday 17th Decem-ber. More information about how to book a meal for your child will follow shortly.

We will also be inviting the children to wear Christmas jumpers to school on this day, but would like to stress that we do not want this to be an expensive event for families– please don’t buy a jumper for this day. If your child does not have a Christmas jump-er, they can wear clothes in Christmas colours or a party outfit they already have.

We welcome donations of Christmas jumpers that children have outgrown and will hang these on the preloved uniform rail in the main reception when we receive them.

  • PTA Christmas Disco

    Tue 02 Dec 2025

We are very grateful to the PTA for organising the Christmas dis-cos for Years 1-6. The discos will take place after school on Tues-day 16th December.

Due to the Year 1 and 2 disco taking place immediately after school, pupils in Year 1 and 2 only can wear dis-co/party clothes to school on 16th December.

Children in Year 1 and 2 who have bought a disco ticket will be taken to the disco by their class teacher at 3.30pm.

  • Junior Parkrun

    Tue 02 Dec 2025

Our first school junior parkrun is this Sunday. It will take place at the War Memorial Park near the play park. There will be a fun warm-up followed by the run/walk for the children. We are delighted that over 100 have registered—that is a quarter of our school!
The PTA have been busy preparing for the breakfast at school. We have bought rolls and sausages for all those who indicated that they would like one. These can be purchased in the school dining room which can be accessed through the school car park after the parkrun.
We look forward to seeing lots of families!
