Year 5 had the opportunity to work on a pilot STEM project with Bonanza Creative. The children had a great day of learning, and their ideas will be used in a STEM programme being rolled out nationally. Bonanza Creative will be returning to us to deliver a carbon monoxide safety programme.
Our choir had a fabulous day of music at King Henry VIII School on Monday. They worked with Mr Newton, the Director of Performing Arts, and learnt some songs which they performed beautifully to a packed audience. Thank you to Mr Hook and Mrs Leigh for taking the children, and very well done to our very talented choir.
We were thrilled this week to harvest our first crop from the allotment. Children picked enough rhubarb for Mr Kumar, our chef, to cook rhubarb and apple crumble for 300 people! It was delicious and tasted even better because we had grown it ourselves.

Year 3 and Year 5 have been working hard on a fantastic Paris 2024 Olympic/Paralympic display which has been installed in our downstairs hall. This installation includes work from our partner schools, and some of our work is in their installations. Thank you to Real Art for supporting with this.
Congratulations to our boccia team who represented the school at a national boccia tournament in Cheltenham at the weekend. They did very well in all their matches and they were a credit to the school by showing respect and fair play at all times.
