    General guidance

Thank you for your support and patience with all of these school routines. As you are aware there are also a number of general things parents can do to help keep our school community safe. Please support us by:

    • Not sending your child to school if they are showing coronavirus symptoms or if someone within the household is showing symptoms
    • Arranging a test if your child develops symptoms and keeping school informed of the result
    • Keeping your child at home if they have been identified as having contact with a confirmed case either in school or elsewhere
    • Reinforcing with your children how to wash their hands, keep their distance from others and minimise contact.
  • Equipment

    Equipment

As the children will not be using the cloakrooms or lockers, they will be storing their coats on the back of their chairs. We have had to move some furniture out of classrooms to ensure that the children can sit side by side in rows rather than in table groups. As such there is limited space for additional belongings and we would like to remind parents that the children should not bring a bag to school as there is nowhere to store them. Unfortunately, when some children brought rucksacks to school in the Autumn term they became trip hazards in the classrooms.

Please send the children into school with a coat, water bottle and lunchbox if they don't have a school meal. When the children need to bring their reading and home learning book into school, they could use a small cloth / plastic bag which could then be folded and stored in their drawer or coat pocket during the school day.

  • Turn on the subtitles

    Mon 01 Mar 2021

Turn on the subtitles is based on research that suggests whilst children are watching the T.V having the subtitles on can double the chances of a child becoming good at reading.

  • PTA update

    Mon 01 Mar 2021
As we prepare to return to school, we are aware that uniforms might be a little short or a little snug. The PTA will be taking preloved uniform sales via their Facebook page. Please contact the PTA if you wish to order some items. All items will be £1.00
  • Beechwood Trails

    Mon 01 Mar 2021

Just to let you know that the woods at the top of Beechwood have new trails starting from today. There will be four trails. One for preschool, one for school aged children, young adults and adults. As always we are so grateful to the members of our community to make this trails and know that our families very much enjoy them.

In addition we have made our own Word Hunt at Spencer Park.

    Happy hunting.
