  • New Reception for September 2022

    Mon 04 Jul 2022

We are looking forward to meeting parents of the new reception cohort (September 2022) on Monday at 6pm. This parents information meeting will be held in school so families can see the reception classrooms (please note that this meeting is not suitable for children). We will then be welcoming the children to a
‘Stay and Play’ session on either Friday 8th July or Friday 15th July from 1.45- 2.30pm. The Stay and Play sessions will be held outdoors (weather dependant) in the reception outdoor classroom and on the playground.

  • Catering Update

    Mon 04 Jul 2022

We are delighted to inform you that we have appointed a
new catering manager who joined our staff team on Monday.
Mr Kumar is looking forward to getting to know the children,
staff and parents. After some discussions with the children,
he will be developing new menus for the new academic year.
He is also keen to hear your views; please send your thoughts
and ideas via the parent email account. Thank you

  • Refugee Week

    Mon 04 Jul 2022
Refugee Week 2022 was a great success. The week began with assemblies linked to migration and ended with
a non-uniform day to raise money for Coventry Refugee and Migrant Centre and Medical Aid
Ukraine. During the week the children looked at the story book 'The Suitcase' to explore what it
might be like to have to leave their home and arrive somewhere
new. They analysed statistics linked to refugee and asylum seekers and wrote reverse poems inspired by refugee experiences. On Thursday, Roya from CRMC visited school to talk about her story and the important work that the centre does to support people seeking sanctuary in Coventry. All children have made a 'Hexagon of Hope' that will form part of a collaborative piece of art to welcome people to our school. A big thank you to the children in Y5 and Y6 that made items to sell during the week- together they raised an amazing £168.28!
