This is where you will find all of the information that will keep you up to date with our latest events!
| As you may already be aware from previous news letters, the Reception—Year 6 parent/ teacher meetings for this term will take place on Monday 6th and Wednesday 8th February. The meetings will take place in school and parents will have the opportunity to look through their children's workbooks to celebrate the progress that they have made so far this year. Parents can book a 10 minute appointment; please look out for information about the online booking system over the next week or two |
| The children in Year 3– Year 6 are taking part in Cov entry Rocks, a Times Table Rock Stars competition with other schools. The competition will run from Monday 16th January to Friday 31st March. Each time your child answers any questions on TTRS they will win points for our school. Please encourage your children to gain points for school whilst also practising their multiplication facts. They can play by going to https://play.ttrockstars.com/ or by downloading the TTRS app to a phone or tablet. Being fluent with times tables can make a huge difference to your child's attainment and attitude to mathematics at school so please encourage your children to practise using their TTRS account. We are hoping everyone will take part and that Earlsdon will be ‘Top of the Rocks’! |

Coventry Building Society has made a generous donation to schools to support families
during the cost of living crisis. We are keen that families benefit from some of this additional financial support, and as such we need your help.
We would like to use this donation to support parents for example by providing a supermarket voucher or payment for a school trip. School is aware of the families who access
free school meal funding, however we are also aware that many other families are also struggling with the rising costs of food and bills. If you would like to be considered for some additional support please email the school office; we are keen to make sure that this kind donation supports as many families as possible. Thank you
Our Language of the term is Mandarin Chinese.
We are looking forward to celebrating this on 19th January with a whole school Chinese language and culture day to coincide with Chinese New Year. On the 19th January, we would like to invite the children to wear something red to school and our chef
and the kitchen staff will be cooking a special Chinese
themed menu at lunchtime. The children will be taking part in different activities throughout the day and will be working with language teachers from Finham Park Secondary School
and Coventry University. If you would like to come into school and share an aspect of Chinese culture with your child's class, then please speak to the class teacher so a suitable time can be
arranged
The Govenors and staff would like to wish you a Happy New Year and are looking forward to the year ahead, thank you for your continued support.

| We are keen to keep parents up to date with their children’s learning and try to share this information in a variety of ways including on our weekly newsletters, during parent/ teacher meetings (6th & 8th February) and also using the termly curriculum information overviews.
