  • Times Table Rock Stars

    Mon 23 Jan 2023
The children in Year 3– Year 6 are taking part in Cov
entry Rocks, a Times Table Rock Stars competition
with other schools. The competition will run from
Monday 16th January to Friday 31st March. Each time
your child answers any questions on TTRS they will
win points for our school. Please encourage your children to gain points for school whilst also practising their multiplication facts. They can play by going to https://play.ttrockstars.com/ or by downloading the TTRS app to a phone or tablet. Being

please encourage your children to practise using
their TTRS account. We are hoping everyone will take
part and that Earlsdon will be ‘Top of the Rocks’!

  • Industrial Action

    Mon 23 Jan 2023

As you may have seen in the media over recent days, members of the National Education Union (NEU) are due to take industrial action across the country in relation to the national pay agreement and how this should be funded by government, rather than by schools. The proposed dates for strike action by NEU members are:

    • Wednesday 1 February 2023 (National)
    • Wednesday 1 March 2023 (West Midlands)
    • Wednesday 15 March 2023 (National)
    • Thursday 16 March 2023 (National).

We are currently in the process of assessing the impact any industrial action will have on staffing levels at our school. It is possible that full or partial school closures may be necessary, although we are doing everything possible to ensure the school remains open in line with DfE guidance and LA advice. You may
wish to consider making alternative childcare arrange
ments for these dates as a precautionary measure,
even though they may not be needed.

We are working closely with our NEU colleagues to
ensure we are updated with the most accurate
staffing information and will write to you as soon as
    possible.

Thank you for your support and understanding at this
    challenging time.

  • Coventry Building Society

    Mon 16 Jan 2023

Coventry Building Society has made a generous donation to schools to support families
during the cost of living crisis. We are keen that families benefit from some of this additional financial support, and as such we need your help.
We would like to use this donation to support parents for example by providing a supermarket voucher or payment for a school trip. School is aware of the families who access
free school meal funding, however we are also aware that many other families are also struggling with the rising costs of food and bills. If you would like to be considered for some additional support please email the school office; we are keen to make sure that this kind donation supports as many families as possible. Thank you
