  • Support for families

    Fri 18 Dec 2020

We are pleased that families with children who have free schools have received additional support from the Government through the holiday food vouchers and also through the winter clothing grant which we have used to provide school fleeces. In addition we are very grateful to Earlsdon Methodist church whose generous donation meant that we could provide Co-op gift cards for families and thank you also to the Rapid Relief Team charity who kindly donated food boxes for families to enjoy over the Christmas period.

We understand that there are many more families who are not eligible for free school meals but are experiencing financial hardship. If you are in this position please contact the City Council by phoning 08085 834333 where you can make an application for support or find out more about how to apply for the COVID Winter Grant.

  • COVID notifications during the Christmas holiday

    Fri 18 Dec 2020

As you may already be aware, schools are required to carry out coronavirus school-based contact tracing up to and including 24th December. To support contact tracing, it is very important that families continue to inform us of any positive coronavirus tests so we can carry out a risk assessment and inform children and adults who have been in close contact. We would like to ask that parents email school using                  parent@earlsdon.coventry.sch.uk throughout the Christmas holiday period .

Please include this information in your email:  Child's name and class ,the date when their symptoms began, the date they had the COVID test, the last day they were in school, if and when they attended breakfast or after school club in the week beginning 14th December and if they have music lessons the instrument they learn.

Whilst we will not need to carry out any school-based contact tracing after 24th December, we would still appreciate being informed if your child has a positive test result over the Christmas period in preparation for our return to school. Thank you

  • Year 4 Fundraising

    Mon 14 Dec 2020

A group of our year 4 girls have been busy making crafts to sell in school and raise money for Coventry Foodbank. They will be setting up their stall each day next week and would like to invite the children from across the school to buy an item and make a donation of at least 20p. The girls will be putting any money they raise into quarantine over the Christmas holidays and will count up how much they have raised at the start of the new term– they will not be able to give change.

Please help the children raise money for this worthwhile local charity. The girls will be selling bookmarks, notebooks,
games and origami heart pockets– all items have been made by the children as they have worked incredibly hard over the last month.
