  • Gymnastics

    Congratulations to our Year 2 Gymnastics team who took part in a School Games tournament on Wednesday at The Tribe. They demonstrated great skill, agility and artistry.

  • Green Day

    Wed 09 Apr 2025

    Thursday 1st May We will be enjoying Green Day again this year. On Thursday 1st May we would like to invite the children to wear something green/flowery in exchange for either potted herbs, plants for the sensory garden or a suggested £1 donation for the Primary Allotment Plot. (Please note, we would prefer not to have donations of seeds as we already have quite a lot!) Thank you in advance for your support.

  • The Welcome Committee

    The Welcome Committee had a lovely time welcoming four new reception children who have recently joined our school. They organised an egg hunt and Easter themed craft in the front garden. It was so lovely to see the older children working together with the younger ones

    We are happy to say that the Mother’s Day Pop Up shop and Summer Family Camp are back! More information about Family Camp has been sent home– please ask if you haven't received it. For the Mother’s Day Pop Up shop, please support the PTA by following the details on the poster and popping payment into the PTA post-box in the school reception. Payment of £2.50 should be put in an envelope clearly labelled with details of your child's name, class and number of gifts (£2.50 per gift). In addition you can send payment in a clearly labelled envelope into school with your child to give to a member of staff who will post it in the post box for them. The PTA will also be on the playground offering card payment options today (21.3.25) and next Tuesday (25.3.25).

  • National Reading Champions

    Our two Year 6 reading teams participated in the National Reading Champions Quiz on Friday. It's a very challenging competition and it tests the book knowledge of pupils from every genre. Both teams did an amazing job, with one of our teams being placed the highest scoring primary school in the West Midlands. Well done children!

  • Kabaddi

    This week the group stages of the Kabaddi World Cup took place at the CBS Arena, Coventry. This is the first time that this international tournament has taken place outside Asia. Our school Kabaddi team took part in a schools' festival at the CBS on Tuesday. Another group of children were lucky enough to watch the England women's team compete on Wednesday

  • Coventry HAF

    HAF is a national Department for Education funded programme that enables eligible children and young people to attend free activities and experiences with free nutritional food provided.

     

    HAF activities and experiences take place in the Easter, Summer and Christmas school holidays. Who is eligible? Children and young people need to be school-aged children (Reception to year 11 inclusive) and meet one or more of the following criteria: • In receipt of benefits-related free school meals. The Council’s website has more information on this.

    • Assessed (through a Children and Families assessment, undertaken by Children's Services) as a “child in need”

    • On a child protection plan

    • A child in care

    • A young carer

    • Assessed (through an early help assessment) to be in financial hardship

    • Part of the Ukrainian Family Scheme or the Home for Ukraine programme

    • Receiving Free School Meals through having No Recourse to Public Funds.

  • Sporting News

    Well done to the Year 4 children who competed in an archery competition last week. It was a fun event based around a story about a castle and involved completing challenges with an archery theme. The children were brilliant ambassadors for our school and have been invited to compete in a regional competition in a few weeks.

  • Red Nose Day

    Tue 18 Mar 2025

    We will be inviting the children to support Comic Relief by wearing something red to school on Friday 21st March. They could simply wear red socks, a red t-shirt or come to school wearing a complete red outfit– whatever they have access to and feel comfortable with. £1 donations would be gratefully received to support this national charity event.
