  • World Book Day

    Mon 20 Jan 2025

Please put the date in your diary for the annual World Book Day. We work hard to promote a love of reading for pleasure throughout the school year and will be celebrating this national event with a range of activities. We want to give parents plenty of notice as the children have asked to dress up as book characters. There is no expectation that families spend money buying costumes– please encourage the children to make a costume. We are looking forward to seeing them in school dressed as their favourite book character on Thursday 6th March and nearer the time will update you on other activities the children will be enjoying during the week.

  • PTA Disco

    Mon 20 Jan 2025

The children in Year 1– Year 6 are invited to attend the PTA discos on Thursday 23rd January. The first disco for Y1, Y2 & Y3 children will start at 4pm and finish at 5pm and the disco for Y4, Y5 & Y6 children will start at 5.15pm and finish at 6.15pm. Entrance to the disco is £3 and this will include a glow stick. There is no need to pre-book a place at the disco, instead the children should bring £3 with them and hand it to a member of staff / PTA as they enter. Discos will be held in the upstairs hall and the children will be en?tering through the side gate (as they do each morning) and collect?ed from the car park gate. The children may want to bring their water bottle with them as well as £3 disco entrance fee!

  • Keeping Children Safe online

    Fri 20 Dec 2024

We will be holding a parents workshop on Thursday 30th January at 5pm. The session will be led by West Midlands Police and will focus on raising parents awareness of the dangers and possible consequences of children accessing the internet if appropriate safety measures and monitoring are not put in place. The session is extremely relevant and important for all primary school parents as school and West Midlands Police are seeing an increase in primary school age children getting involved with things online or accessing things they shouldn’t. Throughout the session PCSO Chater will give tips and strategies that parents can use to make the online space a safer place for their children. Some of the topics included in the parents workshop are listed below:

    •Apps and appropriate ages

    • Children sharing inappropriate images
