Parenting has updated the website and there are now 4 pre – recorded seminar/workshops that parents and professionals can use to gain some parenting skills and strategies. This is very helpful resource for parents at a time when parenting support is needed, this ensures that a swift and responsive approach is available to all parents. The formal parenting programme is available and is delivered within academic terms, however once a course has started could result in parents waiting for the next round of courses to commence and by accessing the online resources will help parents at the time support is required. The seminar is a menu of parenting strategies in a shorter presentation that allow for parent reflection and then support to make changes.

The children enjoyed an assembly today introducing the key school events for British Science week. We are inviting the children in Year 1 – Year 6 to prepare a science project to share with their class during this week. More information about the projects will be sent home with the children, so please look out for it. We will also be enjoying a variety of additional scientific investigations in school during British Science week.
We were fortunate to be joined by friends from the Zambian community who have been working with us on our Commonwealth Games project. They ran workshops about Zambia in Year 2 and Year 5. We were very impressed with their dancing and singing. They will be returning to work with other classes later this year.
Thank you to the parents, staff and children who helped prepare our window display this year. It looks superb!
