    Well done to our Year 5 tennis team who represented the school last week at a School Games tennis tournament. They
    played very well and came third overall, winning the bronze medal.
    This is a great achievement.

    Our Go Parks inclusive tennis sessions at 3.30pm on Tuesdays at
    Spencer Park continue to be very popular. Thank you to our Changemakers for supporting with this. In other tennis news, we are delighted to have been given the opportunity to take a group of Year 4 pupils to Wimbledon this year
     

  • Refugee Week

    Next week we will be celebrating Refugee Week. On Friday 23rd June, the children are invited to come to school wearing something orange and donate whatever money you feel you can to support Schools of Sanctuary, Coventry Refugee and Migrant Centre and Carriers of Hope. The children can wear an orange top, headband or socks for example– whatever they already have at home. Y6 children will also be selling handmade
    orange heart decorations and badges during Wednesday– Friday lunchtimes, priced from 20p to £1. Thank you in advance for your support

    We are saying farewell to Mr Webb today who has supported and
    taught children in our school for the past 8 years.
    Mr Webb will be starting his new job with the Environment Agency
    later this month. We would like to take this opportunity to thank
    Mr Webb and wish him every happiness in his new career

    Our ECO Team are keen for our pupils and families to make
    healthy food choices. The NHS offer some helpful advice for healthier food swaps. They now offer an app, so you can scan your favourite foods and find healthier swaps when you shop.

    On Saturday June 10th, Coventry Refugee and Migrant Centre will be hosting an event called 'In the City' from 12-6pm in the city centre at Broadgate and Millennium Place (in front of the Transport Museum) This event will celebrate different communities and cultures with music, performances, food, stalls etc

    We are very excited that we are currently top of the Summer Coventry Rocks TTRS - thank you to all Key Stage 2 children for their hard work. We would like to encourage the children to keep up the good work by completing ten minutes each
    day on TTRS, to help us maintain our lead!

    Cook for Coventry Recipe Books will be on sale after school on
    Friday 23rd June and will be £1.50. Please send in your recipes to help us make this project a success. Please send your recipes electronically, using Word (with a photo if possible), to
    Mrs Andrews via admin@earlsdon.coventry.sch.uk or
    handwritten on A4 paper by Friday 9th June. Please include the name of the dish, where it is from, ingredients, method and your name. Thank you
