  • Sports News

    We are very excited to be part of the DfE Opening Schools' Facilities project which will enable us to run more after school sports clubs next year. It has also provided us with additional equipment including three table tennis tables, archery sets and boxercise equipment. We have been awarded a Go Parks commission which will enable us to run inclusive tennis sessions at Spencer Park. We have also been asked by the LTA to run a city-wide deaf tennis festival in Deaf Awareness Week in May.
     

  • Pop Up Micro Library

    We have all been very excited to see our second pop-up
    library which is situated on a spaceship in the playground. The
    children have been enjoying reading fiction and nonfiction books with a space theme
     

  • Working with Coventry's poet laureate

    This week Year 4 had the opportunity to work with Coventry's poet laureate - Emilie Lauren Jones. They wrote some fantastic poems in response to our Arts Council Collection artworks. On Wednesday our Coventry Young Ambassadors worked with Emilie on haiku poetry in preparation for the Poetry in the Park event that is taking place on Sunday at the War Memorial Park

     

  • Earth Day

    Earth Day is an annual event dedicated to raising awareness and inspiring action to tackle the various environ mental challenges facing our planet. This day is also a time to celebrate those who have done a lot to help the environment. Over 193 countries celebrate Earth Day around the globe, with more people getting involved every year. Earth Day 2023 falls on Saturday 22nd April 2023. Each year, there is a central theme, signifying a new focus on a particular environmental
    concern. The Earth Day 2023 theme is
    'Invest in Our Planet'

    As you are aware, we provide weekly learning updates for each year group on the newsletter (which is also saved
    onto the school website) and also regular updates on Twitter to help ensure that we share the range of learning and activities the children are accessing in school. Our website has been updated to include the Summer term curriculum information for parents.
    Please have a look in your child’s year group in the Children’s section of our website so you know what learning is
    planned for this term.
