As we approach the end of the school year it has been lovely to welcome our new Reception children for their Stay and Play session and also to hear about the excitement of the transition day for our Year 6 children at their new secondary schools. We will be saying farewell to Mrs Thomson next week as she has decided to retire following 32 years of service to our children and families. We would like to take this opportunity to thank her for all of her hard work, dedication and commitment to Earlsdon Primary School throughout this time. In addition, we will be saying good bye to Mrs Marvin who is heading off to Dubai to work in an International school– we wish her all the best with the exciting challenges ahead. Furthermore, Mr Kumar has completed his apprenticeship (passing with a distinction) and will be starting his new job as a sports coach with CV Life in September. |
In line with DfE guidance we will be lengthening our school day from September 2023. This means that school will be open from 8.40am—3.15pm. The side gate will open at 8.40am and the children will come straight into school, hang up their coats and go to their classrooms to start their learning. The morning registration period will end at 8.55am and the side gate will close at this time. Any children arriving at school after 8.55am will need to be signed in by their parents through the main school entrance. The school day will end at 3.15pm and parents should collect their children from the playground at this time. |
The Year 6 girls played a friendly match against Hearsall a couple of weeks ago and against the mums last week. Well done for representing the school |

A special thanks to Hester in Y6 who made lots of beautiful badges and mirrors to sell during the week. School will be open between 4pm and 5pm on Thursday providing the opportunity for families to talk to their child’s current class teacher and to meet their class teacher for the new school year. The children will be bringing home their end of year reports on Wednesday 12th July and the information about class teachers for next year will be included in the report envelopes. We hope you will be able to join us in school next Thursday. Please note that the children’s books will not be available to look
through on this day as they will be bringing them home at the end of the school year.
Well done to all the children who have performed in music assemblies over the past two weeks. It has been a real treat for the rest of the school to enjoy your performances. We know how much hard work and commitment you show in your music lessons
Some pupils from Year 4 had a very exciting day enjoying the tennis at Wimbledon on Wednesday. It was a great opportunity to watch tennis players from all around the world competing in this prestigious tournament. |
