Last Thursday, the children enjoyed a special day celebrating different aspects of Chinese language and culture. We were very lucky to have teachers from The Confucius Institute at Coventry University lead sessions in Kung Fu, paper cutting, calligraphy and Chinese painting. Year 6 loved their karate taster session lead by ATMA Karate. Mora Zhang from Finham
Park 2 taught the children how to make Chinese knots
and use chopsticks. They also enjoyed learning about
Chinese New Year celebrations and the Chinese Zodiac. Thank you for supporting the day by wearing red
and ordering from our special Chinese themed lunch menu
Our robotics teams competed in the VEX IQ tournament at Finham Park 2 on Monday and they were a real credit to the school. They collaborated well with all participants, and they showed great resilience throughout the day. We're looking forward to our next tournament in Nottingham in February.

Coventry Building Society has made a generous donation to schools to support families
during the cost of living crisis. We are keen that families benefit from some of this additional financial support, and as such we need your help.
We would like to use this donation to support parents for example by providing a supermarket voucher or payment for a school trip. School is aware of the families who access
free school meal funding, however we are also aware that many other families are also struggling with the rising costs of food and bills. If you would like to be considered for some additional support please email the school office; we are keen to make sure that this kind donation supports as many families as possible. Thank you
