Thank you to the three parents who were keen to support our school and join the Governing Board. Thank you also to all of the parents who took the time to read their personal statements and complete and return their ballot papers. A huge well done to the Year 1 children who decided to spread some Christmas cheer amongst their neighbours and raise money for Sense. The children enjoyed singing Christmas carols and raised an amazing £162. Please follow this link below if you |
We were very pleased to welcome BBC Midlands Today to Earlsdon this week. They had heard about our work linked to Walk with Amal, Refugee Week, Carriers of Hope and Schools of Sanctuary. We are so proud of our pupils who talked about the welcome we give to all pupils from all countries. We have received many messages from the wider community thanking the children for their commitment to being global citizens. |
The windows have now been replaced in two classrooms and the music room. We are sorry for the disruption this work is causing and look forward to giving you further updates as the project progresses! |
Thank you to all of the families for your support on Wednesday as we had Christmas celebrations in school. We enjoyed our Christmas lunch, Christmas parties and wearing our Christmas jumpers or special Christmas outfits. Thank you also for your generous donations to Save the Children– we are thrilled to inform you that this fundraising event raised £224.39. Thank you to the PTA for generously supporting the celebrations by providing a drink and a snack for the children. The children have been enjoying learning some Christmas songs in school and each year group have recorded a song for you to enjoy at home. To support data protection, the recordings have not been saved onto our website, but instead onto j2E– we hope you enjoy watching them over the festive season. (Reception parents have been sent a separate link as the youngest children don’t access j2E.) |
We would be very grateful if you would take two minutes to complete a very short survey about our Living Walls project. https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/X6YX6DL
Pupils from Year 5 and 6 attended a launch event for our Commonwealth Connections project at Finham Park 2 for our Commonwealth Games project. Guests included Paralympic athlete Liz Johnson; Commonwealth Games gold medal winner Steve Frew; the Lord Mayor; Cllr Caan and Highly sprung. Pupils worked with five other Coventry schools and have started to plan some amazing sports and arts events leading up to the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham next year.
We were very proud of our pupils who were delegates at the Coventry Peace Conference at Coventry Cathedral. They were great ambassadors for our school and they shared the fantastic peace work that has been completed in school.
Year 3 have been very busy learning about the Romans. Take a look at their prototype Roman sandals.
