We came 1115th out of 4359 schools in TTRS England Rocks - thank you to all the children |
who took part. 4RB was the top class from our school with 6HA and 6SH in second and third place. The top three students from Earlsdon with the highest scores all came from
4RB and they were Lucas (6,926)
Yazhini (5,680) and Ellijah (5,581).
Keep up the great work everyone– 20 minutes practise every day will really support your maths learning
Mr Kumar and our catering team will be serving Christmas dinner on Wednesday 20th December. More information about how to book a meal for your child will follow shortly (please note all Reception and KS1 children do not need to book as they are served school lunch each day). We will also be inviting the children to wear Christmas jumpers to school on this day, but would like to request that parents do not buy a jumper for this event. We welcome donations of Christmas jumpers that children have outgrown and will hang these on the preloved uniform rail in the main reception when we receive them. If your child does not have a Christmas jumper they can wear clothes in Christmas colours or a
party outfit they do have. As parents are very generously supporting the PTA chocolate tombola and also the Cheylsemore Food Hub reverse Advent calendar, we will not be asking for a charity donation on Christmas jumper day. Thank you for your ongoing generosity and support at this expensive time of year |

This week we were chosen to be BBC CWR's Star School. Pupils enjoyed being interviewed about news from our school and also about wider issues. Mrs Dooley talked about her fam ily connections with the school. If you missed the broadcasts, please go to iPlayer to listen to the interviews |
The pupils who went to the Peace Conference in Kyoto shared their presentation with Key Stage 1 this week, ahead of sharing it with council cabinet members and various Japanese organisations on 4th December. They have also started a pilot project linked to the Sustainable Development Goals, which we hope to extend to more schools in the city. They have met with the Lord Mayor's Peace Committee to discuss the establishment of a youth peace forum. |
The PTA are organising a non uniform day on Friday 24th November. They would like your support as they are running a chocolate tombola during a community event on 2nd December and would like to ask children to bring a chocolate do nation to school next Friday. The PTA are also organising discos for the children in Y1&2, Y3&4 and Y5&6 on Thursday 30th November. The entrance fee will be £2 and more information about times and how to buy a ticket will be shared soon. |
It is a very busy and expensive time of the year and we are aware that we are regularly asking families to support school with donations, fundraising and events such as the book fair. With this in mind, we will not be fundraising for Children in Need in school but instead would like to encourage families to make their own donations if they feel able to. As the children have already had the opportunity to make a charity donation to buy a poppy, we have decided not to sell Pudsey Bear merchandise in school this year. However, if your child has some Pudsey ears or other related items they are very welcome to wear them to school next Friday in support of this national event.
For the remainder of this term we will be focus on continuing to support a local charity and will provide more information over the next few weeks.
Thank you to the families who very kindly donated some toys to the Toys 4 Life charity. The charity very gratefully collected several bags from school. Thank you for your kindness and generosity
The Year 4 and Year 5 children represented the school very
