  • Outdoor Play

    Sat 23 Sep 2023
We plan to take the children outside during playtime and at lunchtime, even when there is light rain. To enable the children to play freely with their friends, please send them to school with a named waterproof coat each
    day– thank you.

  • Routines

    Sat 23 Sep 2023
Thank you to all of the families who have made a huge effort to ensure the children are in school and ready to learn by 8.55am.
Thank you also for your patience at the end of the school day– we are working hard to ensure all of the children are ready (with all of their belongings) to be collected at
3.15pm. To help everything to run smoothly when the site is very congested, we would like to remind parents to follow the one way system around the building, across the play ground and to exit through the car park gate

  • School Council

    Sat 23 Sep 2023
The children in Years 1- 6 have been deciding on who their school council representative will be this year. They have been think
ing about what this means and the qualities required to be a school councillor. We look forward to meeting our new members

  • Peace Day

    Sat 23 Sep 2023
The International Day of Peace is observed around the world each
year on 21 September. Established in 1981, Peace Day provides a
globally shared date for all humanity to commit to peace above all
differences and to contribute to building a culture of peace.
Children in school spent time reflecting in our Peace Garden; look
ing at our Peace Pole and stones with messages of peace and rec
    onciliation.

  • Attendance

    Mon 18 Sep 2023

DfE guidance stresses the importance of good attendance for all
children to support their attainment, wellbeing and wider life
chances. When a child’s attendance falls below 90% this is a cause for concern for schools and local authorities– 10% absence equates to a child being absent for 1 day or more a fortnight across a full school year. DfE guidance also states that leave of absence should only be granted in exceptional circumstances, and as such holidays taken
during term time will not be authorised. If leave of absence is unauthorised by the school, the government requires the school to follow up such absences with a Penalty Notice Fine of £60 to each parent and for each child. (Collection of the fine is not administered by the school and the money collected is not given to the school.) If a parent thinks that their leave of absence request is due to exceptional circumstances, they should contact school without delay and before arrangements are entered
into or money is committed. A leave of absence request form is available from the school office or from the website

  • Peace Conference Japan

    Mon 18 Sep 2023

We are very proud of the children who have travelled to Japan and attended the UNESCO Peace Conference. The children have enjoyed many brilliant activities and experiences and have demonstrated amazing resilience in a new country and so far away from home. We wish them a very safe journey home and look forward to hearing all about their adventures next week

    Mon 18 Sep 2023

This week Year 5 and 6 have had their introduction to the Junior Leadership Team; the children who are interested have taken their application forms home to complete. We look forwarded to welcoming some new Junior Leaders and offering them important roles around our school

  • PTA Update

    Mon 18 Sep 2023
The PTA are holding their AGM in school next
    Tuesday (19th September) at 6.30pm.
Everyone is welcome- we hope you can join us!

  • Watches and smart watches

    Mon 18 Sep 2023

We have seen an increase in children wearing smartwatches and
watches with games on them to school. We would like to politely
request that the children leave their watches at home as they can
be distracting to them and their classmates and smartwatches, like
phones, provide additional safeguarding concerns in school

  • Welcome back

    Sat 09 Sep 2023

We have had a super week in school and are thrilled with the way the children have settled into their new classrooms and enjoyed getting to know their new teachers and year group staff.
Thank you for your support in preparing the children for their return to school– they all look very smart in their uniforms!
We are looking forward to the year ahead and all of the learning,
activities and school events we will enjoy. We are delighted to welcome Miss Weston to our staff team. Miss Weston will be teaching in the Reception team alongside Mrs Fennerty, Mrs Reilly, Mrs Senaux and Miss Lewis
