On Thursday 23rd Reception children will be taking part in Elmer day, so they are invited to wear multicoloured clothes to school to celebrate 35 years of Elmer. We welcome the rest of the children to wear comfy clothes for Book Trust and can bring their favourite book to school, to share with their peers. £1.00 donations will be going to our charity of choice.

  • Peace Conference in Japan

    Sat 09 Sep 2023
This Friday five of our pupils will travel with five pupils from Finham Park 2 School to Kyoto, Japan. They will be representing the UK at an international UNESCO Peace Conference. They will get the opportunity to work with students from around the world and they will share information about the important peace and reconciliation work that takes place in Coventry. We are grateful to sponsors including Coventry City Council, Coventry Rotary Club, the Lord Mayor's Committee for Peace and
Reconciliation, the Daiwa Foundation and the Saskawa Foundation for their generous support. Look out on Twitter for updates from Kyoto.

  • Morning and Afternoon Routines

    Sat 09 Sep 2023
Thank you for supporting our new routines at the beginning and end of the school day. Next week we will be welcoming the new
Reception children into school so routines will look slightly different as they will be arriving at 9am and being collected at 3pm. Please bear with us during this period of transition. Routines for the children in Year 1– Year 6
will remain the same; the school gate will open at 8.40am and close again at 8.55am and the children will be lined up on the play ground at 3.15pm for collection. We appreciate that the school site becomes very busy at the beginning and end of the
day and would like to thank parents for continuing to use the well established one way system around the school building,
across the playground to exit via the car park gate.
Thank you for your ongoing support

Thank you to the parents who have attended the Welcome meetings this week for Year 6, Year 2 and Year 1– we hope you have found the sessions informative .

The Teams invites will be emailed to parents for the meetings
for Year 3, Year 4 and Year 5 which are planned for 3.45pm on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday next week

  • Collection for After School Club

    Sat 09 Sep 2023
We would like to remind parents who use our Out of School Club to ensure that they have communicated their password to all of the adults who will be collecting their children from After School Club.
To ensure the safe collection of all of the children, staff will continue to ask adults for their password if they do not recognise them.

  • P.E Lessons

    Sat 09 Sep 2023

P.E will start in school next week and we would like to remind
parents that the children should come to school wearing their P.E
kits for their outdoor P.E session on the day outlined below:

Monday Year 4 and Year 3
    Tuesday Year 2
    Wednesday Year 1
    Thursday Year 6
    Friday Year 5

Please support out P.E uniform by ensuring that the children come to school wearing black, grey or navy shorts/ leggings or jogging bottoms, a plain white t-shirt and a plain navy, black or grey sweatshirt or hoodie. We would like to discourage children from wearing clothing with sports logos. To reduce the cost for families, we would like to request that the children wear their white school polo shirt and their school sweatshirt or cardigan for P.E– there is no expectation that families buy any additional clothing other than plain shorts / leggings or jogging bottoms.
