With the improved weather and dry days the children love to draw and doodle on the playground. During one playtime a whole box of chalk can be used! If you would like to donate chalk to the Reception or KS1 children they would be very grateful. Please hand to the office and they will pass it on.
A big thank you to all of the children and parents who donated preloved books to the book sale and to all of the children that purchased a preloved book. (Some children handed money over but didn’t buy a book, they just wanted to help the library). It was lovely to see the School Council children helping the younger children pick and select books. We raised an unbelievable £177! Once the library is open we will be contacting Anne, and asking her to come to school so that we can gift our donation.
The library is currently being renovated and we know a little bit about what is happening. We will be very excited to use the new space once it is up and running.
Monday 30th March is the start of World Autism Awareness Week. As a school we will be selling wristbands at the office and all proceeds will be going to the National Autistic Society.
We we will notify you when the wristbands have arrived.

On Monday 30th March and Monday 6th April we are looking for Year 6 parent volunteers to come in and help children to begin construction of their eco-houses. Children will be using saws to cut several pieces of wooden dowel, so an extra hands would be much appreciated (woodwork skills would be preferable, but not essential!)
Session times will be 9:45-10:45, 11:00-12:00 and 1:30-2:30 on both dates.
Please could you let a member of the Year 6 team know if you can help.
