On Thursday 23rd Reception children will be taking part in Elmer day, so they are invited to wear multicoloured clothes to school to celebrate 35 years of Elmer. We welcome the rest of the children to wear comfy clothes for Book Trust and can bring their favourite book to school, to share with their peers. £1.00 donations will be going to our charity of choice.

  • Covid Update

    Sat 24 Apr 2021

    COVID-19 update
We hope that your family had a relaxing Easter break and that you have all enjoyed being able to meet more friends outside, and the opportunity to visit some of the places that have been able to open up again as part of the government’s roadmap. The Department for Education continue to provide updates and guidance to schools and during their correspondence this week they have requested that we remind families about safe travel to school as outlined here:

Travelling to school and college safely (DfE Guidance 19th April 2021) It is likely that the roads and public transport system will be busier than when students returned in March, given other businesses have reopened. As part of your ongoing communications with pupils and their parents, schools may wish to share the following messages on how pupils can travel to and from school safely:

 if you live a short distance from your school or college, walk, cycle or scoot to and from school wherever it is possible and
    safe to do so

 avoid sharing a car with anyone outside of your household or support bubble

 if you are using public transport to get to school or college, plan ahead and allow more time for your journey

 when you are travelling by public or dedicated school transport, don’t forget to:

 wear a face covering (unless you are exempt – including if you are aged 11 and under). It is important  you wear them
for the entirety of your journey, including inside a bus or train station

     social distance where possible

 wash or sanitise your hands regularly

  • Routines at the start and end of the school day

    Thu 01 Apr 2021
Thank you to all parents and family members for your patience when queuing to drop off and collect your children– we recognise that this can be quite time consuming. We are grateful for your ongoing support with these new routines and that we can all work together to try and keep our school community safe. We hope you have a restful Easter break and in line with the new guidance, enjoy meeting friends and family members outdoors. We have been so proud of the children throughout the Spring term and are looking forward to welcoming them back to school on Monday 19th April.
  • COVID notifications during the Easter holiday

    Thu 01 Apr 2021
To support contact tracing, it is very important that families continue to inform us of any positive coronavirus tests so we can carry out a risk assessment and inform children and adults who have been in close contact. We would like to ask that parents email school using parent@earlsdon.coventry.sch.uk throughout the Easter holiday period. Please include this information in your email: Child's name and class, the date when their symptoms began, the date they had the COVID test, the last day they were in school, if and when they attended breakfast or after school club in the week beginning 29th March and if they have music lessons the instrument they learn. Thank you
  • P.E timetable for Summer term 1

Tuesday: Year 5 and Year 6

    Wednesday: Year 4

Thursday: Year 3 and Year 1

    Friday: Year 2

We would like to request that the children continue to come to school wearing their P.E kits but that their P.E clothes continue to be in the school colours. This includes navy/ black / grey jogging bottoms, leggings or shorts, a plain white / navy t-shirt and either a school sweatshirt / cardigan or a plain hoodie.
