We were very pleased to welcome so many families to our sports taster event on May Day. It was great to see everyone having a go at boxercise, netball, table tennis and boccia. Thank you to the PTA and staff who volunteered at the event. |
After the success of Green day last year, we are thrilled to be organising a Green week in school when we will be focussing on learning about how we can protect the environment and considering how we can improve our school. We are starting the week by inviting the children to come to school wearing anything green on Monday 15th May. The children could wear
a full green outfit or just a green pair of socks, whatever they have available to them. We are not asking the children to make a monetary donation to come to school in non school uniform on 15th May, but instead would really appreciate donations of outdoor plants (flowering or edible) so that we can
refresh our sensory garden and school grounds. Thank you in advance for your support and generosity.
We are very excited to be part of the DfE Opening Schools' Facilities project which will enable us to run more after school sports clubs next year. It has also provided us with additional equipment including three table tennis tables, archery sets and boxercise equipment. We have been awarded a Go Parks commission which will enable us to run inclusive tennis sessions at Spencer Park. We have also been asked by the LTA to run a city-wide deaf tennis festival in Deaf Awareness Week in May.
